Tallahassee, Fla. – The No. 24/NR Florida State swimming and diving teams will compete at the Georgia Fall Invitational at the Gabrielsen Natatorium starting on Thursday. The three-day meet will run through Saturday before Georgia hosts a long course time trial event on Sunday.

"We're looking to get some ladies and gentlemen qualified for NCAAs," FSU head coach Neal Studd said. "That's the biggest thing for this meet. The team looks sharp and is ready to go. We're excited to see what we can do."

Among the seven schools competing, 11 carry a top 25 CSCAA ranking to start the 2023-24 season.

Prelims each day will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the top 24 in each individual event will advance to finals at 5:30 p.m. Live timing will be available through meet mobile and all sessions will stream on the SEC Network+.

Thursday's individual events will feature the 500 free, 200 IM and 50 free, while the women's divers will compete on 1-meter and the men will contest 3-meter. The 200 free relay will start the evening session and the 400 medley relay will close out the first day of competition.

The 24th-ranked men's team (4-0, 1-0 ACC) has picked up two top 25 wins this season, defeating No. 23 Georgia Tech (151.5-148.5) on the road and against No. 19 Alabama (151-149). Â

The women (4-2, 0-1 ACC) last defeated LSU (211-89), who received votes in the first CSCAA poll. Â Junior Maddy Huggins swam personal bests in the 100 breast (59.91) and 200 breast (2:08.94) against Georgia Tech, turning in times that were invited to the 2023 NCAA meet. Her 100 breast is now the fourth-fastest in FSU history, while her 200 ranks second.
