Seminoles Fall In Orange Bowl Classic

SUNRISE, Fla – Selton Miguel scored 20 points and Kasean Pryor totaled nine rebounds to lead USF to an 88-72 win over Florida State at the Amerant Bank Arena in the AutoNation Orange Bowl Classic.
Redshirt junior Jamir Watkins scored a team-high 15 points and Baba Miller totaled the first double-double of his career with 11 points and a career-high 11 rebounds to lead Florida State. In addition to his 15 points, Watkins totaled eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and one blocked shot.
Josh Nickelberry totaled 10 points with two steals, with one rebound and one assist.
Miguel led the Bulls with 20 points along with Chris Youngblood who totaled 18 points.
The Seminoles trailed 38-24 at the half but began the second half on fire with a 17-7 scoring run for the first six minutes of play after intermission. The Seminoles, though, were limited to 39 percent shooting from the field and made only eight 3-point shots as compared to the Bulls' 12 3-point shots.
Florida State returns home to play the Mustangs of Southern Methodist University on Saturday, December 16 at 8 pm in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. This game starts a four-game stretch at home to wrap up the 2023 year.
