Volleyball Hosts Third-Ranked Florida on Tuesday Night

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State Volleyball prepares for another in-state rivalry matchup on Tuesday night when it hosts No. 3 Florida at 6 p.m. at Tully Gym. The match will air on the ACC Network.
The Seminoles (5-3) and Gators (7-0) meet for the 77th time on Tuesday evening. Florida State continues leading the nation in assists per set (14.20), hitting percentage (.377) and kills per set (15.84), as junior middle blocker Khori Louis is among the nation's leaders with a .545 hitting percentage.

FSU defeated UF in its last visit to Tully Gym on Sept. 15, 2021, spear-headed by Louis' 12 kills in 20 attacks in a 3-1 win.
Head Coach Chris Poole became the eighth Division I head coach ever to reach 900 career wins when FSU topped North Texas, 3-0, on Friday. Poole and Florida head coach Mary Wise are the two active coaches in Division I with 900+ wins.
Poole will be recognized prior to the start of Tuesday's match with an on-court presentation for his latest milestone. The presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:53 p.m.
FSU finished 2-1 in three matches played last week, sweeping Samford and North Texas but falling at UCF. Junior middle blocker Kiari Robey averaged 2.89 kills per set over the three matches played, while junior outside hitter Audrey Koenig averaged 2.86 kills per set.
Florida freshman Kennedy Martin is coming off SEC Freshman of the Week honors after averaging 3.73 kills per set and 1.91 blocks per set in three matches last week. The outside hitter is averaging 4.5 kills per set so far this season.
