Men's Golf Heads to Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) - Florida State Men's Golf competes in its third tournament of the fall season on Oct. 2-3 when it travels to Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, to play at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational.

Another elite field awaits the Seminoles as nearly all 15 teams competing are ranked in the Bushnell/Golfweek poll. They include No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Arizona State, No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 4 Georgia Tech, No. 5 FSU, No. 10 Oklahoma, No. 11 Texas, No. 15 Pepperdine, No. 16 Oklahoma State, No. 17 Texas Tech, No. 17 Texas A&M, No. 20 Georgia, No. 22 Oregon, No. 25 Wake Forest and TCU.

A shot-gun start is planned for 8 a.m. CT on Monday with 36 holes being played. The final 18 holes will be played beginning Tuesday morning.

The Seminoles last played at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational and placed sixth after the tournament was canceled in the final round due to inclement weather. Freshman Tyler Weaver finished seventh at Olympia Fields after shooting 3-under (69-68) over the two rounds played.

FSU's five-member group in Fort Worth will be Weaver, senior Brett Roberts, redshirt senior Cole Anderson, sophomore Jack Bigham and sophomore Luke Clanton.
