Men’s Golf Finishes Eighth at Folds of Honor Collegiate

Tallahassee, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The fifth-ranked Florida State Men's Golf team ended its stay at the Folds of Honor Collegiate finishing in eighth place, wrapping up its final round on Wednesday evening at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Mich.
 
FSU shot 22-over (291-289-294) for the tournament.
 
Redshirt senior Cole Anderson shot a 2-over 73 in his final round and tied for 16th overall at 4-over (73-71-73). He birdied his final two holes on 17 and 18 and totaled three for the day on an afternoon where there were several bogeys.
 
Sophomore Luke Clanton shot 5-over for the tournament (73-72-73), including a 2-over showing on Wednesday, as he tied for 24th. Clanton matched Anderson's three birdies, ending his run on a high note when he birdied the par-5, 538-yard 18th hole.
 
Freshman Tyler Waver tied for 30th at 6-over (72-71-76).
 
Senior Brett Roberts recorded his best round of the tournament with a 1-over 72, shooting 8-over (73-76-72) over his three rounds played. Michael Mays finished at 15-over.
 
The Seminoles prepare for another tough tournament when they go to the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational on Sept. 15-17 at Olympia Fields.
