TALLAHASSEE – Senior Ellie Schoppe enters her second season at Florida State after transferring from Furman and looks to build off her breakout junior season.

In her first year as a Seminole, Schoppe earned 37 total victories and was nationally ranked No. 118 in singles. Schoppe helped guide Florida State to the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament and the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Schoppe's highlight of the 2023 spring season came when she won 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 against 14th-ranked Carson Tanguilig of No. 1 North Carolina.

In her first two seasons at Furman, Schoppe led the Paladins to two NCAA Tournaments, was named first-team All-Southern Conference in singles and doubles in 2022, and second-team all-conference in doubles as a freshman.

Schoppe has also achieved great success in the classroom, being named to the President's List, Dean's List, All-ACC Academic Team, ACC Academic Honor Roll, and an ITA Scholar-Athlete.

Schoppe is ready to be a key component in the Seminoles lineup and help Florida State make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament and ACC Championships.
