No.18 Noles Headed to NCAA XC Championship

TALLAHASSEE –The No.18 Florida State women's cross country team has been selected as one of the 31 squads that will race in the 2024 NCAA Championships on Nov. 23 in Madison, Wisconsin.
Coverage will air on ESPNU starting at 9:30 a.m., and the 6k race will follow at 10:20 a.m. Living timing will be available.
The championship race will take place at the Thomas Zimmer Championship course with the women's 6k race beginning at 10:20 a.m.
Fueled by four-all-region performances, FSU finished third with a total of 164 points at the NCAA South Region Championships at the Apalachee Regional Park, earning an at-large bid to nationals. The Seminoles also moved up to No.18 in the USTFCCCA rankings that were released Monday.
Agnes McTighe placed fourth with a time of 19:56.1. Bieke Schipperen followed McTighe, placing fifth at 20:03.8. Elizabeth Barlow finished 17th (20:25.4), followed by Brooke Mullins in 20th at 20:28.2
"Well, I think we're ready," said FSU head coach Cody Halsey. "The girls are excited, they're confident and I believe they are ready to do something pretty special. Each week we came together more and more as a team, and I feel their synergy. The vibes are electric. We are ready to leave it all out there one more time this cross country season. I'm incredibly proud of their tenacity, dedication and trust in the process as well as in each other.
