Seminoles Set for Diving and Open Water Nationals

BLOOMINGTON, Ind., and MIAMI – Select members of the Florida State swimming and diving team will compete at a pair of meets this weekend, at the USA Diving Winter Nationals, from December 13-15 and the CSCAA Open Water Championships on December 15.
Six divers – three men and three women – will represent the Seminoles at the USA Diving Winter Nationals in Bloomington, Indiana. Live results from IU can be found at Dive Meets, and a live stream is available at USA Diving on YouTube. More meet information is at USADiving.org.
The weekend schedule will begin with the men and women on 1-meter on Friday, December 13, with prelims at 10 a.m. ET (women) and 12:15 p.m. (men), followed by finals at 5 p.m. (women) and 6:10 p.m. (men). On Saturday, December 14, the men are on 3-meter (10 a.m. prelims, 4 p.m. finals) and the women are on 10-meter (12 p.m. prelims, 5:50 p.m. finals). Sunday, December 15 will see the women on 3-meter (10 a.m. prelims, 4 p.m. finals) and the men on 10-meter (12 p.m. prelims, 5:35 p.m. finals).
Meanwhile, as FSU begins its week-long training trip in South Florida, five women will race at the CSCAA College National Open Water Championship in Miami on Sunday, December 15. The women's 5k competition begins at 10 a.m. Additional information can be found at CSCAA.org.
Florida State is coming off an impressive performance at the Georgia Tech Invitational from November 22-24. The Seminoles won 11 events and finished in the top three 34 times against a highly competitive field that featured six top-25 teams. FSU broke six school records and set 37 top-10 times in school history. Five NCAA A times were achieved, along with numerous NCAA B cuts. Recap the weekend here: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3.
