2/28/2024 11:20:00 AM | Men's Tennis

TALLAHASSEE - The No. 17 Florida State men's tennis team resumes conference play this weekend with matches at Louisville and Notre Dame.

The Seminoles will face Louisville on Friday at 5 p.m. before their match with Notre Dame on Sunday at 12 p.m. FSU has only dropped one match at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville in four meetings and has a current seven-match winning streak over Notre Dame.

Florida State is 9-2 on the season, including 1-0 in the ACC after opening conference play with a commanding 7-0 victory at Boston College that moved FSU to 15-0 all-time against the Eagles. FSU is 3-1 in road matches this season with non-conference wins at Alabama and No. 12 Mississippi State. Last weekend, the Seminoles earned identical 6-1 victories at home against Georgia State and South Alabama.

Youcef Rihane was in top form on Court 3 throughout the homestand, dropping only one game in the Georgia State match before blitzing past South Alabama in straight sets. In doubles, the 14th-ranked doubles pairing of Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif racked up two more wins including a 6-0 sweep over South Alabama to begin the match, their first set sweep this season.

The newest ITA team rankings were released Tuesday. Florida State checked in at No. 17, its 25th straight week inside the top-25.

Live video and stats from both matches will be available on Seminoles.com.
