Men's Golf Completes Day Two in Hawaii

WAIMEA, Hawaii – The No. 12 Florida State Men's Golf team posted another solid round at the Amer Ari Invitational, shooting 8-under par to wrap up day two of the event in a tie for 12th place.
North Carolina is in first place after day two for the second day in a row at 46-under par after being 26-under the day prior. The Tar Heels hold a seven-stroke advantage over Auburn who jumped from fifth place. Price Hill of Texas Tech holds his first-place spot in individual play at 11-under par.
Sophomore Luke Clanton led the Seminoles in round two with a 9-under par after two days. Clanton hit seven birdies on day two, one more than he had the day before.
Freshman Tyler Weaver was solid for much of the day, hitting five birdies on the back nine, but the final hole gave him trouble, where he had a quadruple bogey that forced him from the top five to tie for 32nd.
Senior Frederik Kjettrup stayed consistent during day two, matching his total of 70 from the day before and is tied for 54th at 4-under (140).
Redshirt senior Cole Anderson improved from his even-par from day one to 2-under on day two and is tied for 71st at 142.
Sophomore Jack Bingham had a bit of trouble during round two and is tied for 96th after carding 3-over (75).
Junior Michael Mays played as Florida State's individual and sits tied for 32nd carding a two-day total of 138 (69, 69). Mays is currently the third highest ranked in individual play, 5-under the current leader Price Hill.
The Seminoles will begin the third and final round of the Amer Ari Invitational on Saturday morning at Mauna Lani North Course at 12:30 p.m. ET/7:30 a.m. HT.
