Noles, Tigers Set for Top-10 Clash

CLEMSON, S.C. – No. 7 Florida State takes its 19-0 record on the road for a three-game series at No. 3 Clemson, squaring off with the Tigers for a three-game series beginning Saturday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Florida State improved to 19-0 with a 1-0 win vs. Stetson on Tuesday night, the Noles fourth shutout victory of the season. FSU's 19-0 record is tied for the second-best in program history – behind a 23-0 start to the 2007 season – and the 21-game winning streak dating to last season is tied for the fifth-longest at FSU. FSU is the final remaining undefeated team in the country.
Saturday starter Jamie Arnold leads the country with a 0.33 earned run average, allowing just one over 27.2 innings this year. The sophomore left-hander is coming off a career-high 12 strikeouts last weekend against Notre Dame as he improved to 5-0 on the year. Cam Leiter is 4-0 and the pair are the only teammates 4-0 or better in the country entering the sixth weekend of play.
Cam Smith is fourth in the country with 39 hits and eighth with a .476 batting average. The sophomore has reached safely in 29 consecutive games.
Clemson is 19-2 after winning two of three games against No. 4 Duke last weekend. The Tigers won midweek games against Presbyterian and Winthrop.
