James Tibbs was one of five Seminoles with two hits, finishing 2-for-3 with a two-run single and two-run home run, his 15th of the season and 42nd of his career. Tibbs added a pair of walks against the Hurricanes.
Eight Seminole hitters had at least one hit and all nine starters reached base safely.
Tibbs' home run gave FSU a 7-4 lead in the fourth inning. FSU extended the lead to 11-5 before Miami scored a pair of runs in the eighth inning, but Joe Charles got out of the eighth with no further damage and Connor Hults needed just 10 pitches to complete a perfect ninth inning.
