WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – No.8 Florida State (30-6, 10-5) visits No. 12 Wake Forest (24-12, 9-9) for its first of two straight conference series on the road. The three-game series kicks off Friday at 6:00 p.m. as the Seminoles look for their fifth ACC series win of the season.

Florida State dropped its first midweek and non-conference game of the season Tuesday versus Mercer.
Leadoff hitter Max Williams had a career-high four hits in the mid-week contest, finishing 4-for-5 for his 10th multi-hit game of the year. Williams' seven-game hit streak and nine-game on-base streak are both career bests. Daniel Cantu's fifth-inning blast was Florida State's 11th consecutive game with a home run; the Seminoles have at least one home run in 32 of 36 games this year.
The Seminoles are coming off a big week, including sweeping the season series with Florida and weekend series over Miami for the first time since 1960. Cam Smith and James Tibbs III continue to lead the way for the Seminoles at the plate. Smith reached base safely for the 46th consecutive game, finishing with a walk, a single and his first triple of the season Tuesday vs. Mercer. Tibbs leads the team in OPS (1.396), home runs (15), RBI (58), total bases (118), walks (25), and slugging percentage (.881). Tibbs is also the toughest batter to strikeout in the ACC.
Wake Forest dropped Tuesday's game to UNC Wilmington 8-5. The Demon Deacons earned a series win at Boston College, making it their second consecutive ACC road series win after a sweep over Virginia Tech.
