No. 4 Beach Volleyball Travels to Huntsville for CCSA Tournament

TALLAHASSEE – The No. 4 Florida State beach volleyball team travels to Huntsville, Alabama, to play in the CCSA Championship this weekend. The Seminoles earned the No. 1 seed for the tournament after finishing the regular season with a 27-7 record.
Florida State looks to claim its eighth CCSA championship since joining the conference in 2016. The Noles won seven straight titles from 2016-2022. The tournament is double elimination, and will also include South Carolina, No. 10 LSU, and No. 17 Grand Canyon.
Audrey Koenig and Raelyn White, along with Anna Long and Alexis Durish, were unanimously selected to the CCSA All-Conference Team, and Kaileigh Truslow was a unanimous selection to the conference's All-Freshman Team. Head coach Brooke Niles was named the CCSA Coach of the Year for the second time in her career.
The Seminoles play South Carolina in round one. Florida State leads the all-time series with the Gamecocks 23-0. The Noles won the previous meeting with South Carolina 4-1 in Tallahassee this March. The Gamecocks hold a 18-14 record in 2024, defeating the likes of Jacksonville, FGCU, Stetson and Mercer. South Carolina holds a 12-14 record in CCSA tournament play, last defeating College of Charleston 4-1 in 2021.
No. 10 LSU holds a season record of 24-9. The Seminoles defeated the Tigers 4-1 in their only matchup this season and lead the all-time series 24-3. Florida State is 7-1 against LSU in the CCSA Tournament, with three of those victories coming in the CCSA championship match.
No. 17 Grand Canyon holds a 14-17 record in 2024. The Seminoles lead the all-time series against the Lopes 10-0. FSU won its previous meeting with GCU 3-2 in March. GCU joined the CCSA in 2023 and posted a 3-1 record in tournament play while reaching the CCSA Championship.
The Seminoles open play Friday against South Carolina at 10 a.m. Central Time. In round two, Florida State will play either LSU or Grand Canyon at 1:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. The CCSA Championship will be held on Saturday at noon. Live stats will be available on Seminoles.com.
