TALLAHASSEE – Sophomore Luke Clanton continues his torrid stretch of play, sitting in a tie for first place at 8-under (68-66) through two rounds at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial held at Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Va.
Clanton has won each of his last two tournaments played, including the Seminole Intercollegiate and the Valspar Collegiate Invitational.
The sixth-ranked Seminoles are in second place at 6-under (280-282), a distant spot behind first-place Tennessee (23-under).
Clanton delivered a second-round 66 that was punctuated by an eagle on the 15th hole, a par-5, 572-yarder. His second round included four birdies and an eagle to just one bogey.
