Five Seminoles Named to NFCA All-Region Teams

TALLAHASSEE - Five Seminoles earned NFCA All-Region honors on Thursday afternoon as Jaysoni Beachum was named to the first team, Michaela Edenfield and Kalei Harding were named to the second team and Kaley Mudge and Isa Torres were named to the third team.
Beachum became the first true freshman since Veronica Wootson in 2004 to be named to First Team All-Region. Beachum became just the third true freshman ever to be named to the first team as she joins Julie Larsen in 1985 and Wootson in 2004. Beachum has had a phenomenal season as she leads the team with a .436 batting average, 75 hits, 15 home runs, 64 RBIÂ snd 31 walks. She has already been named the ACC Freshman of the Year, a Top 10 Finalist for the TUCCI/NFCA National Freshman of the Year and a Top 10 Finalist for the USA Softball National Player of the Year award.Â
Kalei Harding and Michaela Edenfield each earned their second career All-Region honors as they were both named to the All-Region team in 2022. Edenfield has had her best season as a Seminole as she is hitting a career-high .382 while hitting 14 home runs with 43 RBI. Harding has continued to be her consistent self and has put up her best numbers of her career with a career-high 60 RBI and is tied with Edenfield with 14 home runs.Â
Mudge earned her third-consecutive All-Region honor after hitting .358 this season with two home runs and 29 RBI in 50 games. Torres is also putting together a terrific freshman season as she has hit .364 with eight home runs and 53 RBI.Â
