Three Seminoles Earn All-ACC Honors

TALLAHASSEE – The No. 22 Florida State women's tennis team had three individuals earn All-ACC honors on Friday.
Graduate student Vic Allen earned second-team All-ACC and Ellie Schoppe was named to the third team in singles, while Allen and Millie Bissett earned second-team doubles accolades.
The 21st-ranked Allen accumulated 16 wins in singles this spring. Allen earned three wins over top-25 ranked opponents, seven ranked victories and was named ACC Player of The Week for three consecutive weeks. Allen concluded her Seminole career ranked eighth in school history in total wins, fifth in total doubles wins and 10th in total singles victories.
Schoppe finished the spring ranked 48th in the nation rankings and won 15 victories in singles contests. The former ACC Player of The Week She had seven ranked victories, including three of them against top-25 opponents. In her two seasons with the Seminoles, Schoppe earned 40 wins in singles and 39 victories in doubles.
Bissett and Allen reached the round of 16 in the NCAA Doubles Championship and finished 16th in the national rankings. The pair won 14 matches and were 7-0 in the March. The duo had three out of their four ranked victories over top-15 pairs.
The three individuals helped the Seminoles earn 17 victories with nine over ranked opponents, made advance to the quarterfinal round of the ACC Tournament the ACC Quarterfinals for the 20th time in program history and advanced to play into the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the seventh consecutive postseason appearance.
