13 Seminoles Named Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athletes

TALLAHASSEE - 13 Florida State softball players were named to the 2024 Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athletes. Madi Balk, Jaysoni Beachum, Ashtyn Danley, Devyn Flaherty, Madi Frey, Kennedy Harp, Krystina Hartley, Jahni Kerr, Kaley Mudge, Amaya Ross, Annie Potter, Hallie Wacaser and Emma Wilson were all named to the team. Athletes must maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA to be eligible for the award. Six athletes posted a 3.75 GPA or higher with Harp leading the way with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

The Seminoles put together another great season on the field as they finished the 2024 season with a 46-16 record and hosted a NCAA Regional for the 10th consecutive season and became one of just four teams in the country to have hosted a NCAA Regional in each of the past 10 season. FSU advanced to the Super Regionals for the 10th time in the last 11 seasons and finished 3-0 in the Tallahassee Regional for the first time since 2021. 

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,573 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2023-24. NCAA Division III followed with 2,285 and NCAA Division II with 1,510. NAIA and junior colleges came in with 873 and 808 student-athletes respectively.
