TALLAHASSEE – Florida State women's cross country student-athlete Lily Guinn was named the ACC Women's Freshman of the Week on Tuesday. Guinn becomes the first women's runner to win the weekly honor since Jane Eiselstein in 2022.
Guinn made her collegiate debut at the UCF Invite in Orlando, Florida, winning with a time of 17:16.4 in the 5K. The Norfolk, Virgina native led the Noles to a perfect score of 15, collecting their first team win of the season.
"I'm thrilled for Lily," said FSU women's head coach Cody Halsey. "This honor is very well deserved. It was fantastic to see her take the win in her first collegiate race as a Nole and a true freshman. She's a special kid who I believe will do big things in her career. I'm really excited to see how the rest of the season plays out for her and our team."
