TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State offensive line was named to the Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll Wednesday. The award recognizes the nation's top offensive line as a unit.
Florida State has started six offensive linemen in 2025 and boasts the nation's No. 3 total offense and No. 5 rushing and scoring offenses. Left tackle Gunnar Hansen, left guard Richie Leonard IV, center Luke Petitbon and right guard Adrian Medley have started all six of FSU's games, while Micah Pettus started FSU's first five games at right tackle before Jacob Rizy started against Pitt.
Petitbon was named the Outland Trophy National Offensive Lineman of the Week and the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week after FSU's 31-17 win over No. 8 Alabama. FSU ran for 230 yards and four touchdowns in the game and the offensive line did not allow a sack for the first time since 2023.
Medley was the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week in Week 2 as FSU rolled up 729 yards of offense against East Texas A&M, showing a balanced attack that ran for 361 yards and passed for 368 yards. The following week vs. Kent State, FSU ran for a school-record 498 yards and eight rushing touchdowns as part of a 775-yard day, the most in the country in 2025 and the most for Florida State since 2000.
Behind his offensive line, quarterback Tommy Castellanos leads the country with 15.87 yards per completion and is fifth nationally and leads the ACC with 9.89 yards per pass attempt. FSU leads the country with 14 plays of at least 40 yards and are the only team in the ACC with two receivers with three 40-yard catches. Fourteen different Seminoles have scored at least one touchdown.
Semifinalists will be announced November 5.
Florida State is back in action Saturday at Stanford. The Seminoles and Cardinal kick off at 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
