10/16/2025 11:53:00 AM | Men's Swimming and Diving, Women's Swimming and Diving
ATLANTA – The No. 18/RV Florida State swimming and diving team will hit the road for the first time this season, competing in the Dual Meet Tournament at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta from October 17-18.
The tournament will follow a dual-meet format, with two rounds on Friday and a final round on Saturday. Florida State opens competition against Army at 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday. The winner of that matchup will advance to face the winner of NC State vs. Georgia Tech later in the day. Florida State will swim again on Saturday in a placement round to determine its final standing, with the team's start time to be determined following Friday's competition.
"We're looking forward to this dual meet weekend and a really exciting event," FSU head coach Neal Studd said. "There's going to be a lot of great competition, and it's a great chance for our team to grow and keep building momentum."
The Dual Meet Tournament will be broadcast live on ACCNX (Friday | Saturday), accessible through your television provider or a subscription to ESPN+. Live results can be found on Meet Mobile. Updates also are available by following and connecting with the Seminoles on Twitter/X, Instagram and Facebook.
The two-day event features a highly competitive field of programs: host-Georgia Tech, Army, Auburn, George Washington, Georgia, Minnesota and NC State. Of the participating schools, five teams are ranked in the CSCAA top 25.
On the men's side, along with No. 18 FSU, NC State is ranked No. 7, Georgia is No. 9, Auburn 20th and Minnesota holds the No. 24 spot, with Army also receiving votes. For the women, NC State is eighth, Georgia is No. 12, Auburn is No. 20 and Minnesota is 24th.
In the season's first CSCAA Coaches Poll, announced on October 2, the Seminole men's team checks in at No. 18 while the women are receiving votes, two spots out of the top 25.
After nearly three weeks off, the Seminoles enter the weekend coming off an impressive showing at their season-opening meet, the FSU Invite from September 26-27, where both the men's and women's teams took home first place finishes at the Morcom Aquatics Center. Florida State combined for 32 event victories over two days, with standout performances from sophomores Michel Arkhangelsky and Maryn McDade, each posting seven total wins, three individual and four in relays. Both were recognized as ACC Swimmers of the Week for their efforts.
Up next, Florida State returns home to host the All-Florida Invite on October 25 at the Morcom Aquatics Center.
