The fifth set consisted of different swings of momentum with Cal holding an early 6-3 lead. FSU fought back to get within one, and back-to-back Filiamaua kills gave the Noles their first lead of the set. The set would later be tied at 13, before Filimaua would close the door with her 25th kill of the evening to win the match for FSU.
Henke finished the match with a career-high 27 kills, which led all players. Filimaua tied a career-high of 25 kills. The pair was responsible for 59.5 total points scored for the Seminoles.
