Noles Open Coconut Hoops Friday vs. Missouri State

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State women's basketball team (3-4) will play Missouri State (5-1) in its opening game of the GEICO Coconut Hoops on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida.
 
The Seminoles picked up its first win in the series last season, defeating the Bears 97-66 at the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands over Thanksgiving.  Missouri State leads the series 4-1, dating back to 1990.
 
Florida State is led by Solè Williams, who is averaging 17.2 points per game, ranking second in the ACC. She leads the league in three pointers made (19), three point percentage (46.3) and three pointers per game (3.17).  Williams has led the Noles in scoring in five games this season, including the last matchup on Sunday against Illinois where she posted 18 points.
 
The game will air on FloCollege and the Seminole Sport Network can be found on 96.5 The Spear, featuring Melissa Bruner and Jack Kavovit. The radio broadcast can also be found on the Sirius XM app.
 
The Seminoles, who will be playing in the Great Egret Division of the tournament, will face either Coppin State or No. 9/8 Oklahoma on Sunday at either 4 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
