Noles Travel North to Face No.1 UConn on Sunday

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women's basketball team (2-0) will travel to Storrs, Connecticut to face No. 1/1 UConn (1-0) on Sunday at the Gampel Pavilion at 4:30 p.m.
 
The Seminoles are looking for the first program win over the Huskies, playing inside the Gampel Pavilion for the first time in the series.
 
The game will air on FS1 with Sloane Martin and Meg Culmo on the call.  Jack Kavovit and Melissa Bruner will broadcast on the Seminole Sport Network, which can be found on 96.5 The Spear as well as Sirius XM, channel 388.
 
The Last Time Out
The Seminoles opened the season at home, defeating Florida A&M (112-39) on Monday and Georgia Southern (80-72) on Thursday.
 
Senior guard Sydney Bowles and junior guard Solè Williams led the scoring effort with 15 points each, sinking a combined five three-pointers. Sophomore guard Tatum Greene led with eight boards, while graduate forward Allie Kubek recorded 12 points to go with seven rebounds, five coming in the second half. Kubek also added a block.
 
Junior forward Avery Treadwell tied her career-high in blocks with three on the night, matching the effort against SMU in 2024. 
 
In two games played, the Seminoles are averaging 48.5 bench points per game, ranking second among Power 4 teams and first in the ACC. FSU also ranks ninth nationally in blocks per game at 9.5.
