Dudley a Hermann Trophy Semifinalist as Five on All-Region Team

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Junior forward Jordynn Dudley is named a Hermann Trophy Semifinalist as five Florida State soccer players are recognized on the All-Region Team by United Soccer Coaches.
 
Dudley is the first player in program history to be a semifinalist three times in her collegiate career. The prestigious national player of the year award is presented by the Missouri Athletic Club, and Dudley has been a semifinalist each year.
 
Also on Tuesday, Dudley and sophomore midfielder Taylor Suarez were named to the All-Atlantic Region First Team, senior defender Heather Gilchrist and junior defender Mimi Van Zanten were honored on the Second Team and sophomore forward Wrianna Hudson was bestowed with Fourth Team accolades.
 
FSU's five All-Region awards are its most since five also were recognized in 2023 and tied for the most in the ACC this year. Dudley is on the First Team for a third year in a row while Gilchrist and Van Zanten are on an All-Region list for the second consecutive campaign. Hudson and Suarez are honored for the first time. The accolade for all five players comes after they each were named to All-ACC Teams earlier this postseason.
 
Through 20 games, Dudley leads the team with 14 assists, 36 points and 78 shots, while she shares the team lead with three game-winning goals and is second with 11 goals and 31 shots on goal. She has three braces and five games with at least three points, including a two-goal, one-assist contest in the NCAA Quarterfinal. In the regular season, Dudley had at least a point in 13 consecutive games, with a goal in seven of those contests and at least two points nine times. Dudley ranks No. 4 nationally in assists per game (0.70), No. 5 in total assists (14), No. 13 in points per game (1.80), No. 17 in total points (36) and No. 19 in shots per game (3.90).
 
A First Team All-ACC honoree for three consecutive seasons and a finalist for Top Drawer Soccer's National Player of the Year Award, Dudley is a two-time All-American. She is the 2023 Top Drawer Soccer and ACC Freshman of the Year and was twice named to the ACC All-Tournament Team (2023 and 2024).
 
Suarez is second on the team with eight assists, third with 18 points, 31 shots and 14 shots on goal and fourth with five goals. She has four games with three or more points, two of them in the ACC and one in the NCAA Tournament.
 
Along with 2025 Second Team All-ACC honors, the Charlotte, North Carolina, native is a 2024 All-ACC Academic Team awardee.
 
Gilchrist has scored four goals with an assist for nine points with a team-high-tying three game-winning goals. Her 1,645 minutes is a squad best. She is a Third Team All-ACC and Academic All-District honoree and named to the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List. From Boulder, Colorado, Gilchrist is a 2024 Fourth Team All-American, 2024 All-ACC Third Team recipient and on the 2022 All-ACC Freshman Team. She also has earned All-ACC Academic Team distinction three times and was named to the 2023 Academic All-District Team.
 
Van Zanten has one goal and five assists for seven points. A Third Team All-ACC honoree, the Buffalo Grove, Illinois, native also was named to the 2024 All-ACC Third Team, the 2024 All-Region Third Team and the 2023 ACC All-Tournament and All-Freshman teams.
 
On the back line, Gilchrist and Van Zanten have helped the Seminoles post 11 shutouts. With just 15 goals allowed in 20 games, FSU ranks No. 5 in the NCAA in goal differential (+40), No. 19 in shutout percentage (.550) and No. 27 in goals-against average (0.746).
 
Hudson leads the team with 13 goals and 36 shots on goal, shares the team lead with three game-winning goals and is second with 27 points and 54 shots with one assist. She scored a goal in four consecutive games and in seven of the team's first nine contests. Hudson is No. 4 nationally in shot accuracy (.667), No. 25 in goals (13), No. 26 in shots on goal per game (1.80) and No. 27 in goals per game (0.65). A Rochester, New York, native, she was named a Second Team All-ACC awardee this season to go along with the 2024 ACC All-Freshman Team.
 
Florida State's All-Region quintet have helped Florida State to the NCAA College Cup with a 14-2-4 record in 2025. The 15th College Cup in program history, the Seminoles, seeded No. 3, play No. 2 seed TCU in the National Semifinal on Friday, December 5, at 6 p.m. ET in Kansas City, Missouri. The game will air live on ESPNU.
