TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women's basketball team (22-6, 12-4 ACC) will hit the road one last time in the regular season to face No. 3 Notre Dame (24-3, 15-1 ACC) at the Purcell Pavilion on Thursday at 8 p.m.

The Seminoles have defeated the Fighting Irish once in the 14-game history, picking up the win in 2022, 70-65 in Tallahassee.

Florida State averages the second-highest scoring mark in the country at 89.4 points per game, led by the nation's leading scorer, Ta'Niya Latson (26.2 PPG).  Makayla Timpson leads the Seminole defense, leading the ACC and Power 4 players with 91 blocks, averaging 3.25 per game.

The game will air on the ACC Network with Debbie Antonelli and Jenn Hildreth on the call. The Seminole Sport Network can be found at 96.5 The Spear, Seminoles.com and Sirius XM channel 386.

The Last Time Out
In thrilling fashion, the Seminoles defeated No. 20 Georgia Tech in Atlanta, 73-70 to earn the second win over a ranked team this season.

Sydney Bowles led the offense with 32 points to become the fourth Seminole to register a 30-point game this season. FSU and Oklahoma State are the only two teams in the country to boast four 30-point scorers this season.

Timpson contributed her 45th double-double and 14th of the season behind 19 points and 16 rebounds. She added three blocks and a steal.

Florida State extended its lead to 13 points in the fourth quarter, but Georgia Tech fought back to tie. With a tight game tied with two minutes remaining and the teams alternating scoring, Bowles hit a turnaround jumper, but Tech answered to tied 68-68. On the next possession, Timpson shot a jumper in the paint to regain the lead. After defense made a stop with Timpson coming up with the rebound, Georgia Tech was forced to foul with 18 seconds remaining.

Bowles hit three free throws down the stretch, but after a miss from Timpson at the line, the Yellow Jackets drove on the final possession and missed the three, as the Noles finished the game 73-70.
