FSU Set To Battle No. 5 NC State and No. 1 Wake Forest

TALLAHASSEE -Â The Florida State men's tennis team will complete the second leg of its two week road trip in North Carolina against No. 5 NC State and No. 1 Wake Forest.
FSU will face NC State at 5:30 p.m. on Friday before moving 100 miles west to meet Wake Forest at 1 p.m. on Sunday.Â
The Seminoles defeated both teams in consecutive days en route to the program's first-ever ACC championship title in 2024. FSU swept the No. 3 seeded Wolfpack 4-0 in the ACC quarterfinals before defeating the No. 2 seeded Demon Deacons 4-3 in the ACC semifinals. The Seminoles knocked off the top three seeds in three days to become the lowest-seeded team to win the conference championship.
Florida State begins conference play even through the opening four matches. Corey Craig has begun ACC play with three Court 1 victories in his debut season with the Seminoles including a three-set thriller over the No. 6 player in the nation at California. The junior won his first conference road match over a top-10 player following his three-match clinch streak. Craig has seven nationally ranked wins with three coming in the past month.
Jamie Connel won his first ranked battle of the spring over the No. 49 player in the nation at California with a 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 three-set comeback win to extend his Seminole leading win total to 17 wins this season.Â
Alex Bulte and Youcef Rihane notched a doubles win over a top-10 ranked school for the first time this season at Stanford. The third-ranked duo in the nation has won three of their last four matches and remains the highest ranked doubles team in the conference.
