TALLAHASSEE — The Florida State women's tennis team will host No. 50 Miami at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center on Wednesday at 4 p.m. before traveling to Dallas for a match against No. 62 SMU beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. ET.

FSU defeated the Hurricanes last season in the quarterfinal round of the ACC Tournament by a score of 4-1. The Seminoles hold a 3-3 record all-time against the Mustangs, and this marks the first time the two programs will compete as conference opponents. Florida State defeated SMU 4-2 last season in the opening round of the ITA Kickoff Championships in Austin, Texas.

Sophomore Eva Shaw is 4-0 on Court 1 through four conference matches this season. Shaw earned her first ranked win last weekend, defeating No. 64 Akari Matsuno of Notre Dame 7-6 (6), 6-4. Shaw is on a six-match winning streak and has won seven of her last eight matches. Shaw also continues to find success with partner Maria Juliana Parra Romero on the doubles courts. The pair is the No. 84-ranked duo in the nation and currently holds a 10-match winning streak.

The match against Miami is a Double Spear-It Rewards promotion for all FSU students and will include a T-shirt giveaway. Concessions will be available, and free pizza will be available while supplies last. Admission is free to all Florida State home tennis matches.

Live stats for both matches will be available on Seminoles.com.
