BATON ROUGE – The Florida State beach volleyball team is set to compete in the Death Volley Tournament this weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The seventh-ranked Seminoles will face No. 1 UCLA, No. 4 USC, and No. 5 Stanford on Friday, followed by a matchup against No. 9 Long Beach State on Saturday.

FSU enters the weekend fresh off a perfect performance in DeLand, Florida, where the Noles swept all four opponents and added two more ranked victories. Audrey Koenig and Alexis Durish continued to establish themselves as one of the nation's top-flight pairs, winning all four matches in straight sets.

Florida State opens the tournament against the nation's No. 1 team, UCLA. The Bruins enter the weekend with a 19-1 record and already hold a win over the Seminoles this season. UCLA most recently went 4-0 at home in the East Meets West Invitational, securing victories over No. 12 Texas, No. 11 LSU, No. 8 Florida State, and No. 19 FIU.

The Noles will then face the defending national champions, No. 4 USC, in their first meeting of the season. The Trojans currently hold a 15-4 record and are coming off a 5-1 weekend at the FAU Invitational. USC leads the all-time series 21-5, having won the previous matchup 4-1 in Baton Rouge last March.

FSU wraps up Friday's competition against No. 5 Stanford. The Cardinal enter the tournament at 13-5 and are riding a five-game winning streak. The Seminoles and Cardinal have split their all-time series 1-1, with Stanford claiming a 3-2 victory in Baton Rouge last year.

Florida State closes the weekend on Saturday against No. 9 Long Beach State, marking their first meeting since April 2023. The Beach currently sits at 15-5 with notable wins over No. 9 Cal, No. 16 Washington, and No. 17 Hawai'i. The Seminoles lead the all-time series 6-5, winning two of the last three matchups.

Florida State opens play on Friday against UCLA at 10:15 a.m. Eastern Time, followed by USC at 3:15 p.m. and Stanford at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, FSU will close the weekend against Long Beach State at 12:45 p.m. Due to potential weather, times may be subject to change. Live stats and updates will be available on Seminoles.com.
