Weaver Wins Cabo Collegiate

LOS CABOS, Mexico - The No. 21 Florida State men's golf team finished in third place on the final day of the Cabo Collegiate on Tuesday at the Twin Dolphin Club, led by individual champion, Tyler Weaver

Following a round of 69 on Sunday, and 66 on Monday,  Weaver turned in a score of 70 to finish in a tie for first at 8-under, 205. Weaver won the three-hole playoff to claim the title and exemption to the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship in November at the Diamante Cabo San Lucas. 

The Seminoles sat in sixth place in round one, shooting 6-over, 290. In round two, the Noles turned in the lowest team score of the round at 7-under, 277. FSU would maintain position in the final round shooting one over par, 285 for a total score of 852.

Carson Brewer finished in the top 20, tying for 19th after shooting 70 on Tuesday, sitting 1-under, 215. Jack Bigham followed tied for 27th at 5-over, 218 after a final round of 73.

Throughout the tournament, Florida State has earned 58 birdies and one eagle total, led by Weaver and Gray Albright who both carded 14 birdies total, with Weaver landing the eagle. Brewer contributed 12 birdies. 

The Noles will host the Seminole Intercollegiate in Thomasville, Georgia at the Glen Arven Country Club from March 10-11.
