No. 10 Noles Head to ACC Championship

TALLAHASSEE –
The No. 10 Florida State men's golf team will begin stroke play at the ACC Championship on Thursday at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Kentucky. 
 
Stroke play will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the top six teams will advance to match play on Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m.  The top two teams will play at 11 a.m. on Monday for the ACC title.
 
Florida State, who earned the top seed in the tournament, will be paired with No. 8 North Carolina and No. 11 Virginia.
 
The Noles have four players ranked within the top 50 of the World Golf Amateur Rankings, led by No. 1 Luke Clanton. Tyler Weaver heads to ACC's ranked 37th, followed by Jack Bigham in 46th and Gray Albright in 47th.
 
Clanton, who will be appearing in his third ACC Championships, has produced two top 10 finishes at the event, placing fifth in 2024. 
 
The Ben Hogan semifinalist has won three tournaments this season including the Watersound Invitational, Seminole Intercollegiate and Lewis Chitengwa Invitational, all won by FSU. 
 
Live scoring will run through Golfstat and the semifinal and final rounds will be aired on ACC Network Extra.
 
The Last Time Out
The Seminoles won the Lewis Chitengwa Invitational, led by Clanton (-5) in first place and Albright (-3), who tied for second.
 
FSU built a 16-stroke lead through two rounds of play on April 14 and finished the tournament 13-under, ahead of the host, Virginia.
