Jazzy Francik Earns A Spot on Softball America All-Freshman Team

TALLAHASSEE - Jazzy Francik was named to the Softball America All-Freshman Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Francik has been nearly unstoppable in the circle as of late. In her last three starts, Francik has thrown 19 scoreless innings, allowing just five hits while striking out 21. In her last 13 appearances, Francik has allowed just four earned runs in 39.2 innings. She has posted a 1.57 ERA with a 10-3 record. Her 1.57 ERA is the lowest ERA in the ACC and the lowest ERA among freshmen in the country. Francik has come up in huge moments for FSU this season and has recorded eight saves this season which is the second-most in program history for a single season. Francik threw the first no-hitter against a ranked opponent against Virginia Tech on May 3. It was also the first no-hitter by a true freshman since Lacey Waldrop in 2012.Â
