TALLAHASSEE – Florida State All-American Lottie Woad and Seminole freshman Sophia Fullbrook have been selected to represent the Great Britain and Ireland team at the Vagliano Trophy Championship at the Royal Hague Golf and Country Club in Wassenaar, Netherlands, June 27-28, 2025. The Vagliano Trophy championship is a women's amateur international golf match between players from Great Britain and Ireland against a team from the Continent of Europe.

Woad, the No. 1 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, is a member of the eight-player GB&I team for the second time in her career. The six-time Seminole All-American earned three points with three wins in the 2023 Vagliano Trophy championship as the GB&I team fell to Team Europe by a 13.5-10.5 margin. Fullbrook will make her first career appearance in the Vagliano Trophy Championship in 2025.

Woad has been the No. 1 ranked player in the WAGR for 44 consecutive weeks – since July 31, 2024.

Woad earned All-American First-Team honors by the Women's Golf Coaches Association and by Golfweek during the spring of 2025. She was a finalist for the WGCA Player of the Year award and named to the ANNIKA Award Spring and Postseason Award Watch Lists. Woad earned All-ACC honors for the third consecutive season as she helped lead the Seminoles to the first ACC Championship in school history. She was named the ACC Golfer of the Month for February 2025  and finished tied for the individual championship and helped lead the Seminoles to the team championship at the Moon Invitational.

Fullbrook is an incredibly consistent member of Florida State's lineup who played in all seven team events including her first career ACC Championship, her first career NCAA Regional championship, and in the NCAA Championship Finals for the first time in her career during the spring of 2025. She finished third on the team in stroke average (73.38), tied for the team lead in round splayed (21), earned two top-10 finishes, and carded her season-low score of 70 in the third round of the Florida State Match Up.

Fullbrook was a member of the Seminoles' lineup for the team titles in Florida State's first ever ACC Championships, its third regional championship at the NCAA Lexington Regional Championship and for the Seminoles' program-best third place finish at the NCAA Championship Finals. She helped Florida State to six team championships during the spring season of her freshman season – the Collegiate Invitational at the Guadalajara Country Club, the Moon Invitational, the Briar's Creek Invitational, the Florida State Match Up, the school's first ever ACC Championship, and at the NCAA Lexington Regional Championship.

The competition involves various match play matches between players selected from the two teams of eight, either singles and foursomes. The winner of each match scores a point for their team, with half a point each for any match that is tied after 18 holes. If the entire match is tied, the previously winning team retains the Trophy.

The contest is played over two days, with four foursomes and eight singles matches on each day, for a total of 24 points.
