Weaver Sets Course Record at European Team Championships

TALLAHASSEE– Florida State rising junior Tyler Weaver represented Team England at the 2025 European Team Championships from July 8-12 at the Killarney Golf & Fishing Club in Ireland.
Weaver set the course record for a single round by an amateur after shooting 9-under, 63 in the second round to finish at the top of the leaderboard. Weaver finished first by one stroke at 12-under, 132.
In his record-setting second round, Weaver shot 29 on the front nine, including a hole-in-one on the third hole.
Weaver led England to a team record 44-under, 676 in stroke play, winning by 19 shots over Ireland.
In the match play quarterfinal, Weaver picked up two wins, including a 1 up singles victory over his opponent from Finland.
Weaver added a point in the morning foursome for England in the semifinal against Italy after a 2 up win, however Italy took the match 5.5-1.
England bounced back to take the bronze medal, as Weaver contributed two points to the 4-3 victory over Ireland.
The Newmarket, England native finished his sophomore season with six top 10 finishes, including a victory at the 2025 Cabo Collegiate. He averaged a 71.31 stroke average, while shooting a round low of 66, also at the Cabo Collegiate.
Weaver was the runner-up at the 2025 ACC Championship in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He also finished the season 2-1 in match play. He was a 2025 All-ACC selection after capturing All-America honorable mention from the Golf Coaches Association of America and Golfweek.
After his appearance at the 125th U.S. Open, Weaver made an appearance in the top 20 of the World Golf Amateur Rankings where he currently sits 14th. He is the second highest rated amateur from Europe.
