TALLAHASSEE– Florida State men's golf student-athletes Tyler Weaver and Gray Albright were named to 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for NCAA Division I on Tuesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

556 NCAA Division I athletes from 190 schools earned 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors. This is the first nod to the list for both Weaver and Albright after being named to the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team following this season.

A rising junior, Weaver will return to Tallahassee for the 2025-26 season after a breakout summer, where he competed in the 125th U.S. Open before representing England at the European Team Championships. He set the course record for a single round by an amateur at the Killarney Golf & Finishing Club after shooting 9-under, 63 in the second round to finish at the top of the leaderboard.  Weaver finished first by one stroke at 12-under, 132.

Weaver also helped Great Britain and Ireland take home the St. Andrews Links Trophy. Weaver added 3.5 points out of a possible four after defeating the top-ranked European, Filip Jakubcik, 6&5 in the final round of singles.

Climbing to No. 13 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, he is the second-highest rated amateur from Europe.

Following his FSU career, Albright has played in three events on the PGA TOUR Americas. He finished tied for 10th at the Commissionaires Ottawa Open after shooting 20-under, 268.
