Beachum, Francik, Harp and Torres Named to USA Softball Top 50 Player of the Year Watch List

TALLAHASSEE - Florida State softball players Jaysoni Beachum, Jazzy Francik, Kennedy Harp and Isa Torres were each named to USA Softball Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List on Wednesday afternoon. FSU's four players were tied for the second-most of anyone in the country.
 
In two seasons, Beachum has proven to be one of the most dangerous hitters in the country and is looking to have another impactful season for the Garnet and Gold in 2026. The former National Freshman of the Year holds a .361 career batting average with 27 home runs and 111 RBI. Last season, Beachum hit .304 with 11 home runs and 45 RBI. 
 
Francik was a breakout star as a freshman in 2025 as she had the lowest ERA in the ACC at 1.51. Francik held a 10-3 record and recorded eight saves as a freshman which was the second-most in FSU history. Francik was a First Team All-ACC honoree, a unanimous freshmen All-American and was a Top 10 Finalist for the NFCA National Freshman of the Year award. 
 
Harp is ready to go after suffering a season-ending knee injury in April but had a breakout season in her sophomore campaign. In 49 games, Harp hit .412 with nine home runs, 49 RBI and 10 triples. Her 10 triples were the second-most in FSU history and was just two triples short of breaking the school record. Harp recorded a RBI in 10 consecutive games to start the season which was a school record. Harp earned NFCA Second Team All-America honors and was named to the All-ACC Third Team. 
 
Torres put together one of the best seasons in FSU history last season as the sophomore from Georgetown, Texas, native broke the school record with a .436 batting average and had the third-most hits in school history with 95 total hits. Torres finished the season with nine home runs and 45 RBI. Defensively, Torres was terrific and had just nine errors on 197 chances at shortstop. Torres was a unanimous First Team All-American and was also a Top 10 Finalist for the USA Softball Player of the Year award. 
 
The Seminoles will be in action on Feb. 1 for the Garnet and Gold Scrimmage before they begin the 2026 season on Feb. 5 for the JoAnne Graf Classic.
