TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State soccer sophomore midfielder/forward Taylor Suarez has signed with Angel City FC of the National Women's Soccer League, the club announced on Thursday.

Suarez helped FSU win a national championship in 2025 and an ACC Tournament title in 2024. She earned All-America and All-ACC accolades this season.

The third Seminole to sign professionally this offseason after the team won their fifth NCAA championship in early December, Suarez is joined by fellow NWSL signees senior defender Heather Gilchrist (Bay FC) and junior defender Mimi Van Zanten (San Diego Wave).

"Florida State has been a dream," Suarez said. "From a coaching staff that cares like no other to teammates who love you no matter what and a support staff that goes above and beyond, my time here has been invaluable. This program replicates a professional environment that has helped prepare me and others for what it takes to succeed at the next level. Florida State has, without a doubt, shaped the person and player I've become. Thank you, forever a Nole!"

"Taylor has truly come into her own over the past 12-plus months," FSU head coach Brian Pensky said. "Her growth has been a treat to watch, and we are excited for that evolution to continue at Angel City. The sky is the limit for Taylor Suarez. She has the mental and physical tools to be a top, top player."

Suarez will be the first player from FSU to play for Angel City since the club's inaugural season in 2022.

"Angel City is built on purpose and passion. I'm extremely grateful to be part of an organization and fan base that believes in one another and stands for something bigger than the game," Suarez said to Angel City. "We are united by the same goal, to bring championships to LA, and I'll give everything I have to help turn that dream into reality."

In 2025, Suarez was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Second Team, Top Drawer Soccer's Best XI Second Team, the All-Region First Team and the All-ACC Second Team, along with being recognized on the College Cup All-Tournament Team. As a freshman in 2024, she was on the All-ACC Academic Team.

A Charlotte, North Carolina, native, Suarez played in 36 career games with 26 starts with nearly 2,000 minutes in her two-year collegiate career at Florida State, primarily as a midfielder. She scored eight goals with 14 assists for 30 points with 56 shots, 27 on goal.

As a sophomore in 2025, Suarez was second on the team with nine assists, third with 19 points, 33 shots and 15 shots on goal and fourth with five goals. She started 21 games and appeared in all 22 while logging 1,253 minutes.

Internationally for Team USA, Suarez won bronze at the 2024 U-20 World Cup and also played in the 2022 U-17 World Cup, where she scored a goal. Suarez netted a pair of goals and led the team in assists at the 2022 CONCACAF U-17 Championship.
