TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State volleyball team (10-6, 4-1 ACC) earned its fifth consecutive home victory on Sunday afternoon, sweeping Clemson (6-11, 0-6 ACC) 3-0 inside Tully Gymnasium.

The Seminoles finished with 45 kills to Clemson's 26, recorded six aces to the Tigers' one and held Clemson to a .101 hitting percentage.

Florida State improved to 21-1 in its last 22 meetings with Clemson and has won 12 of its last 13 sets this season.

Senior outside hitter Kyleene Filimaua led all players with 22 points, recording 18 kills while hitting .552 and tying her season high with four aces.

Junior opposite hitter Bailey Higgins and sophomore middle blocker Nenu Kpea each recorded nine kills. Kpea also led the Seminoles with three blocks.

Junior setter Emma Lilo recorded 33 assists, a career-high three kills and seven digs.

The teams traded points early in the opening set before Florida State used a four-point run to take a 12-8 lead and force a Clemson timeout. The Tigers responded to tie the set at 13-13, but the Seminoles regained the advantage at the media timeout, leading 15-13.

Clemson tied the score at 18-18 and forced a Florida State timeout. The teams remained even down the stretch at 21-21 before a Filimaua kill gave the Seminoles a 23-21 advantage. Following a Clemson timeout, Kpea delivered the set-clinching kill as Florida State took the opener 25-22.

Florida State opened the second set with a 6-3 lead before Clemson rallied to even the score at 8-8. The teams continued to trade points, reaching an 11-11 tie before the Tigers moved ahead 15-13.

Three consecutive Seminole kills brought the score level at 16-16, and a Higgins kill gave Florida State a 17-16 lead and forced a Clemson timeout. The Seminoles maintained their momentum, building a 20-17 advantage before closing out the set 25-21.

The Seminoles carried their momentum into the third set, opening with a 6-3 advantage. Two Filimaua aces helped Florida State maintain control as the lead grew to 13-8, forcing a Clemson timeout.

Florida State continued to pull away, leading 15-9 at the media timeout before extending the advantage to 20-12 with a five-point run. Another Filimaua ace forced a Clemson timeout, and Sofia Moss sealed the sweep with an ace to give the Seminoles a 25-17 victory in the third set.
