TALLAHASSEE – Florida State women's golf head coach Amy Bond has been selected for induction into the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Hall of Fame, the organization announced Monday.
In her 17th season leading the Seminoles, Bond has guided Florida State to unprecedented success, including its first Atlantic Coast Conference Championship in 2025, three NCAA Regional titles, and a program-best third-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Championship Finals.
"When I began coaching 26 years ago, my main goal was to build relationships with young student-athletes and help them achieve their dreams," said Bond. "Along the way, coaching has given me that and so much more. I have not gotten to this point alone as I have been blessed to have worked with and been around some great administrators, coaches, and players who have helped me along the way. The good Lord also blessed me with an unbelievable family who supported me no matter what sacrifices had to be made.
"I am honored and very humbled to be a 2026 WGCA Coaches Hall of Fame inductee. Coaching has been and continues to be something that gives me endless rewards every day."
Bond was named the 2025 ACC Coach of the Year and WGCA South Region Coach of the Year after leading Florida State to its historic conference championship. She also earned ACC Coach of the Year honors in 2017 and received the WGCA Gladys Palmer Meritorious Service Award in 2024.
Under Bond, Florida State has advanced to NCAA Regionals every season with the Seminoles capturing regional titles in Louisville in 2021, Tallahassee in 2022, and Lexington in 2025. Florida State has also qualified for 10 consecutive NCAA Championship Finals, competing in every championship since 2016 alongside just three other programs nationally. The Seminoles have advanced to match play three times during that span.
Bond's teams have won 30 tournaments at Florida State, contributing to her career total of 38 tournament victories. Her student-athletes have earned 21 All-American selections and 29 All-ACC honors, along with numerous conference, national and academic awards.
"Amy Bond's induction into the WGCA Coaches Hall of Fame is a tremendous honor and a fitting recognition of the remarkable impact she has made on women's golf," said Bruce Warwick, Interim Director of Athletics. "Throughout her time at Florida State, Amy has built a program that consistently competes among the nation's best while developing outstanding student-athletes and leaders. Her commitment to excellence, her passion for her players and the respect she has earned throughout collegiate golf make her truly deserving of this distinction. We are incredibly proud of Amy and grateful for everything she continues to do for Florida State University."
"It's great to see the WGCA recognize Amy with this induction," said Trey Jones, Director of Florida State Golf. "Anyone who follows FSU athletics knows the excellent culture and level of elite consistency she has brought to the golf program year after year. Beyond the accomplishments on the golf course, Amy has always done things the right way and given back to her sport. This is a well-deserved honor for a fantastic career that is still going strong."
Bond has coached several of the nation's top collegiate golfers, including Mirabel Ting, who earned ACC Player of the Year honors and won the ANNIKA Award, PING WGCA National Player of the Year award and Golfweek National Player of the Year award in 2025.
Lottie Woad earned three All-American selections from 2023-25, was named ACC Player of the Year in 2024 and ACC Freshman of the Year in 2023 and won the McCormack Medal in 2024. She was also named ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2025.
Beatrice Wallin, a four-time All-American, was named the 2021 ACC Player of the Year and earned three All-ACC selections. Frida Kinhult earned First-Team All-American and National Freshman of the Year honors in 2019, along with the Golfstat Cup for the nation's lowest scoring average and ACC Co-Player of the Year and ACC Freshman of the Year recognition.
"This award is so fitting for coach Bond!" said Stuart Pearce, Associate Athletics Director for Facilities and Event Management and FSU women's golf oversight. "Having seen her around her peers, student-athletes, competitors, women's golf insiders, and all levels of golf's administrative structure, this just formalizes something that is already acknowledged by each of these groups.
"As an alumna, she is everything that we should celebrate. She does things the right way, treats everyone with kindness and respect, encourages people to be their best selves, and develops young women to their potential. She is a leading voice in furthering the game of women's collegiate golf and she displays a level of humility that is uncommon in today's age."
Academic achievement remains a hallmark of Bond's program as well. During her tenure, Seminole women's golfers have earned 52 All-ACC Academic Team selections, 103 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll selections, and 43 WGCA Scholar All-American honors. Every student-athlete who has completed her senior season under Bond has earned a bachelor's degree, and every player has competed in at least one NCAA Championship during her career.
Bond's connection to Florida State spans more than two decades as a player, assistant coach, and head coach. A former Seminole standout, she was named the team's Most Valuable Player in three consecutive seasons from 1997-99. She was also selected to the ACC's 50th Anniversary Team.
The Women's Golf Coaches Association's most prestigious honor is induction into the WGCA Coaches and Players Hall of Fame. Formed in 1986 with eight Charter Players and five Charter Coaches, new Hall of Fame members are inducted each year in December during the WGCA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the WGCA Member Convention.
