TALLAHASSEE - Florida State pitcher Jazzy Francik was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week on Tuesday afternoon while freshman infielder Marin Heller was also named the ACC Co-Freshman of the Week.

Francik is the first Seminole to be named the ACC Pitcher of the Week in back-to-back weeks since Meghan King in 2019 when King won the award on March 19 and a week later on March 26.

Francik was terrific again this week as the sophomore made four appearances, two which came against top 10 teams. Francik was 3-0 to improve to 5-0 this season and held a 2.00 ERA in 14.2 innings pitched. Francik started the week strong against Liberty where she got the start and pitched four scoreless innings and allowed just two hits. Francik made an appearance against No. 1 Texas Tech where she allowed just one hit. Francik came in relief on both Friday and Saturday night against FAU and No. 7 UCLA. In those two games, Francik pitched 8.2 innings and allowed just three runs on eight hits and was credited with the win in each game. This season, Francik holds a 1.04 ERA in 27.2 innings pitched.

Heller has led the very talented group of freshmen so far this season, and this past weekend was no different. Heller led the Seminoles this week with a .400 batting average this week and drove in five runs. Heller had great games against Liberty, FAU and No. 6 UCLA where she went 8-for-12 in those three games.

The Seminoles will be back in action tonight at 6 p.m. when they take on Louisiana.
