Noles Host Stanford on Sunday for Senior Day

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State women's basketball team (9-18, 4-11 ACC) will host Stanford (16-11, 5-9 ACC) on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. The Seminoles will recognize four seniors, Amaya Bonner, Sydney Bowles, Allie Kubek and Jasmine Shavers prior to the game.

The Seminoles have played the Cardinal six times in the series history, dating back to the 1983-84 season. Sunday's game will be the first in Tallahassee, however Stanford holds the series lead, 4-2.

Florida State has six players averaging 7.0 points per game or more, led by Sole Williams, who averages 15.4 points per game, followed by Shavers at 12.3.

FSU ranks second in the ACC with 8.4 three-pointers made per game, as Shavers leads with 50 made on the season. As a team, the Noles have made 226 threes on the year, marking the fifth-highest total in program history.

Florida State was led by senior guard Bowles with 17 points, followed by Williams who scored 13 against Cal on Thursday night as FSU fell to the Golden Bears, 75-62.

Bowles finished the game 6-of-12 from the floor and was 4-of-7 from behind the arc. Three of her three-point shots were made withing 65 seconds, including a buzzer-beater to end the first quarter.

The Seminoles finished the game forcing 15 turnovers, including eight steals.
