Lacrosse Falls to No. 11 Boston College

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State lacrosse team (2-4, 0-2 ACC) fell to No. 11 Boston College (1-3, 1-1) 19-7 on Tuesday afternoon at the Seminole Lacrosse Complex.
Boston College scored four early goals before Lola Mancuso put the Seminoles on the board. Freshman attacker Brynn Perkins followed shortly after, cutting the deficit to 4-2. A key turnover gave Florida State possession, and sophomore midfielder Meg Kenny capitalized to make it 4-3 at the end of the first quarter.
Boston College added three goals in the second quarter to extend its lead to 7-3. A Catrina Tobin save sparked a transition opportunity that led to a goal by freshman attacker Summer Harrell. Florida State trailed 8-5 at halftime.
The Eagles opened the second half with five straight goals. Harrell answered with her second score of the afternoon, but Florida State entered the fourth quarter trailing 13-6.
Harrell completed her hat trick in the final period, accounting for the Seminoles' seventh goal, but Boston College secured the 19-7 victory.
Harrell earned her second multi-score game of the season, and her first hat trick of her career and now has eight goals on the season. Mancuso extended her point streak to 21 games following her first quarter goal.
Florida State returns to action against No. 1 North Carolina on Friday at Dorrance Field in Chapel Hill. First draw is set for 5 p.m. on ACCNX. Live stats will be
