Bassong Records First Career Double-Double in Seminoles' Win at Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, GA – Robert McCray V scored 20 points, and Thomas Bassong added 14 in Florida State's 80-71 win against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at the McCamish Pavilion. McCray V has scored 20 or more points in a career-high nine games this season. Bassong's 14 points tie his career-high, which he set against NC State on January 10, 2026. In addition to his scoring, Bassong grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds. His 12 rebounds surpassed his previous record of eight, which he set on December 22, 2025, against Jacksonville. Bassong's 14 points and 12 rebounds combine for his first career-double-double.
Florida State improved to 15-14 on the season and 8-8 in the ACC. The Yellow Jackets fell to 11-18 overall and 2-14 in the ACC.
The Seminoles controlled the glass, outrebounding Georgia Tech 44-34. Of those 44 rebounds, 18 of them were offensive boards that Florida State turned into 18 second-chance points.
