Three Seminoles Prepare for NCAA Indoor Championship

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State student-athletes Shenese Walker, Kaelyaah Liburd and Andre Korbmacher are primed to compete at the NCAA Track and Field Indoor National Championships set for March 13-14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The meet kicks off at 12:00 p.m. ET on Friday and Saturday.
The top eight athletes in each event will be named First Team All-American, while finishers placing 9th through 16th will earn Second Team All-American honors.
Walker will take the stage in the 60-meter semifinals at 6:35 p.m. ET on Friday. The women's 400 will be represented by Liburd on Friday at 6:55 p.m., and Korbmacher in the men's 60 hurdles will conclude the first day at 7:55 p.m.
Walker, who will make her third consecutive NCAA appearance, ranks No. 3 in the 60 with a school- and ACC-record time of 7.09. The senior spent five straight weeks as the nation's leader in the event before a pair of runners ran 7.08 at conference championship meets last month. The Jamaican native is a two-time first-team All-American and recently came off a stellar performance at the ACC Indoor Championship, where she was named the women's MVP for the second time in her career after pulling off the double victory in the sprints with 20 total points. Walker competed in the women's 60, setting a meet record of 7.13, and concluded her evening in the women's 200 with a winning time of 22.98.
Liburd qualified for her first individual event at the National Championship after participating in the women's 4x400-meter relay in 2025 when the meet was held in Virginia Beach. Liburd, a British Virgin Islands native, placed second overall in the women's 400 at this year's conference meet, resetting her own school and national record at 51.58. Liburd is the only runner from the ACC competing in the event.
Korbmacher will make his second consecutive trip to the indoor national championship after his gold medal performance at the ACC Indoor Championship in February. The Seminole men won the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championship for the first time since 2020 behind Korbmacher's personal-best and the third-fastest time in program history at 7.55 in the 60 hurdles. Last year, Korbmacher was named a second-team All-American after placing 14th overall in the event.
