Isa Torres Wins Multiple National Player of the Week Awards, Named ACC Player of the Week

TALLAHASSEE - Florida State softball standout Isa Torres was named the D1Softball and Sports Illustrated National Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. Torres was also named the ACC Player of the Week for second-consecutive week and becomes the first Nole since Jessi Warren in 2018 to win the ACC Player of the Week award in back-to-back weeks. 

Torres was perfect from the batter's box this week and continues her historic offensive run. Torres went a perfect 9-for-9 this week while also drawing six walks and was hit by a pitch. Torres hit leadoff home runs against South Alabama on Wednesday and Syracuse on Saturday and ended the week with four RBI. Torres has 11 hits in her last 11 at-bats and has reached base safely in her last 18 plate appearances. Torres has been unstoppable since returning from injury. In her last eight games, Torres is hitting .889 and is 24-for-27. She has driven in 12 runs and has a staggering on-base percentage of .917 in the last eight games. Overall this season, Torres leads the country with a .648 batting average and is second in the country with a .706 on-base percentage.
