TALLAHASSEE – No. 6 beach volleyball heads out of state for the East Meets West Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Friday and Saturday to face Grand Canyon, Cal, Boise State and Arizona State.
Led by reigning AVCA Pair of the Week Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig on court one, FSU opens day one of the tournament against Grand Canyon and Cal. The Noles are 10-0 all-time versus Grand Canyon, most recently walking away with a 3-2 win over the Lopes in Tallahassee in 2024. FSU is 8-0 all-time vs. GCU in neutral site contests.
FSU is 2-1 all-time against Cal, beating the Golden Bears each of the past two seasons. FSU's 3-2 win over Cal in 2024 was in Baton Rouge, and last year's 3-2 win in LA featured Durish and Koenig winning in straight sets on court one, 21-17, 21-15.
On Saturday, the Seminoles take on two Big 12 programs in Boise State and Arizona State. FSU is a combined 4-1 all-time against the Sun Devils and Broncos, but Saturday's match-ups will be the first Big 12 meeting between the programs.
