No. 55 Seminoles Finishes Regular Season at Miami

TALLAHASSEE – The No. 55 Florida State men's tennis team (12-13, 3-9 ACC) will play its final match of the regular season at in-state rival Miami (12-7, 4-7 ACC) this weekend. The Seminoles will face Miami at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. FSU has led the series in recent history with an 11-6 record over the Hurricanes since 2010.

Seniors Luis Felipe Miguel and Corey Craig capped off their final appearances at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center with victories in singles against North Carolina last Sunday.

At the top of the lineup, Miguel beat Chris Xu of North Carolina 6-0, 6-0 to record the first double bagel of the season for Florida State. No. 120 Craig gave Florida State the 3-2 advantage after upsetting the No. 58 player in the country Roan Jones in a two-set decision.

The newest ITA rankings were released on Tuesday. Florida State checks in at No. 55 as a team. In singles, Luis Felipe Miguel comes in at No. 106 and Erik Schiessl No. 113. Corey Craig made an appearance at No. 115. Miguel and Schiessl move into the top-25 doubles rankings at No. 22, while Jan Sebesta and Schiessl are ranked No. 65. Jusin Lyons and Azariah Rusher conclude the rankings for Florida State at No. 79.
