Nakatani Leads No. 16 Noles on Day One of ACC Championship

WILMINGTON, N.C. - The No. 16 Florida State women's golf team opened play at the 2026 ACC Championship on Thursday, which is being held at Porters Neck Country Club.
"It wasn't our best day today," FSU head coach Amy Bond said. "We've got to play well tomorrow, and our ladies are up for the challenge. Anything can happen over 18 holes and our goal tomorrow is to put together a good round."
Haruhi Nakatani led the Seminoles through the first 36 holes of play. After a tough start to her first ACC Championship in the first round, Nakatani settled in and carded six birdies to move up the leaderboard, finishing at 2-under, 70. In the second round, Nakatani was even, 72. She is in 11th place at 2-under, 142.
In the second round, Haley Davis subbed in and tied her season low, shooting even, 72.
Sophia Fullbrook sits at 1-over, 147 and is tied for 41st and Alexandra Gazzoli is 3-over, 149 and tied for 52nd.
After two rounds, the Seminoles sit 12-over, 588 and will tee off for the third round on Friday at 8:15 a.m., starting with Davis off the 10th hole. The Seminoles will be paired with California and Virginia.
