Ashtyn Danley Named ACC Pitcher of the Week

TALLAHASSEE - Junior Ashtyn Danley was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week for the first time in her career on Tuesday afternoon after helping the Noles to a 4-0 week last week.
Danley was terrific as the two-way player picked up three wins including a win over No. 8 Florida on Wednesday. In 11.2 innings, Danley allowed just one earned run on five hits. Danley was masterful against the Gators on Wednesday night as she held the top 10 Gator offense in check. Danley pitched four scoreless innings and allowed just two hits to secure the win. She made appearances in the final two games of the series against Georgia Tech and allowed just one run on three hits in 7.2 innings.Â
While doing all of this in the circle, Danley also hit the game-winning home run in the top of the ninth against Georgia Tech on Sunday. Danley recorded four hits over the course of the week.Â
The Noles will be in action tonight against Florida at 7 p.m. on the SEC Network.
