Korbmacher, Reid Capture Wins at Florida Relays

TALLAHASSEE – The No. 15/23 Florida State track and field teams wrapped up competition Saturday at the Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida at James. G Pressly Stadium, highlighted by wins from Andre Korbmacher and Shamar Reid.
 
Korbmacher captured the lone track win of the meet for Florida State after being victorious in the 110-meter hurdles. The Washington native started his day in the first round placing fourth overall, before tying his personal-best as the top runner with a time of 13.47.
 
Reid captured his second consecutive first place finish in the men's discus throw after tying his personal-best and remaining second all-time in program history at 62.68 meters.
 
Neo Mosebi placed second overall in the men's 100 with a time of 10.12. Amare Williams finished the event in 28th with a time of 10.59.
 
Kaitlyn Bullock placed fourth overall in the women's open shotput with a new personal-best mark of 14.96 meters. Nafy Thiam finished in the top 10 of the women's shotput, finishing in sixth at 15.92 meters.
 
Trace White finished 13th in the men's triple jump at 14.29 meters, followed by Justin Woulard who competed in the event for the first time this season, placing 14th with a mark of 13.85 meters.
 
The men's 4x400-meter relay consisting of Adrian Cardero, Braeden Ofosu-Kwarteng, Micahi Danzy and Williams placed third overall with the sixth-fastest time in program history at 3:04.52 to conclude the meet.
 
Florida State will return home for the Dick Roberts Seminole Invite April 10-11, marking the first time since 2018 Florida State has hosted two meets within the same year.
